La Sportiva Levante

Now I’ve had a couple of weeks of testing the brand new exclusive women’s specific La Sportiva Levante shoe (designed by some of the top La Sportiva female athletes and only just been released) on all sorts of terrain, so I thought I’d share what it really feels like to run in them.

I had a chance to test them fresh out of the box on 23 Before Tea ultra challenge in the Lake District which is technical terrain for a considerable part of the route. And of course not to forget Peak District bogs – there are no bogs quite like the Peak District bogs.
I have to say the shoes are absolutely incredible for long distances, they were so comfy straight out the box. The fact that they’re so lightweight and are designed for ultra distance running is just the best combination. The toe box fit is amazing too, especially as I have slightly wider feet.

The shoes are excellent on hard, rocky ground but not very good in mud and bog because the lugs are obviously not designed for such a soft ground which is fair enough. But overall the Levante are definitely a go to shoe for long runs/races on hard and techy ground if you want comfort and lightweight feel!

Huge thanks to myRaceKit North for recommending as I wasn’t initially planning to get these shoes, I had my eyes set on some other shoes (which I also ended up getting  )! Awesome service as always!

Thank you To Zane for the review.
